Electro 80’s made their debut appearance at Glastonferry festival on Saturday September 5th.
Arriving excitedly at 4pm, the lads were in high spirits and and were greeted by a 2000 strong crowd of music enthusiasts from all genres. While waiting for Blue to arrive (who had been held up in traffic), the rest of the gang mingled with the crowd to savour the atmosphere. With the arrival of Blue around 5pm things started to fall into place. Due to be on stage at 7.30pm straight after Beatles tribute “Paperback Writers”, they had a 20 minute turnaround to setup a minimal amount of equipment. The sun had been blasting down for most of the day as the crowd were entertained by several other bands. Pre show the guys relaxed backstage and enjoyed the hospitalities of the festival organisers whilst deciding which set they would perform to “The Ferry Massive”. Electro 80’s performed a blistering 1 hour and 15 minute set to the warm and appreciative crowd along the banks of the Mersey Estuary, hopefully they will be able to grace the stage of Glastonferry again one day.
